La Recherche
Welcome to the MITEC research group page
MITEC is a new research group that was founded within IEMN in July 2007 and it stands for “Microtechnology and Instrumentation for Thermal and Electromagnetic Characterization”.
The objectives of MITEC Group are to carry out research in both theoretical and applied areas of energy microconverters and materials characterization using microwaves.
The main research lines MITEC investigators are developing include:
- thermal microsensors based on polySilicon technology
- new thermoelectric microconverters using thermoelectric materials with stronger coefficient of merit than polySi (low dimensional systems, nanostructuration) and/or amended geometries
- energy microsources (thermodynamic micromachine)
- temperature measurement by means of microwave radiometers
- conception and realization of six-port based microwave systems
- characterization of nano-objects and nano-structured materials in the microwaves domain
- modelling of electromagnetic waves interactions with new materials (thin film materials, powdered materials,…)
